It’s been described as a fusion between traditional Emirati souq with a state-of-the-art twist, but one thing we do know about the new Deira Fish Market is that it is by far one of the best places in town to buy fresh fish, fruit, vegetables and meat. The newly-positioned Waterfront Market, located near Hamriya Port, may have replaced the old market, which was a popular bustling spot for Dubai’s food lovers and traders, but the new facility – which opened one week ago – is expected to serve as many as 500,000 visitors a month.
