Opening the Season. Honouring Tradition. Celebrating Dubai’s Fishing Heritage.

Every catch at Waterfront Market tells a story of generations at sea. This season, we mark its beginning.

Waterfront Market officially opens Dubai’s 2026 to 2027 Fishing Season. Government entities, Emirati fishermen, traders and industry partners come together to celebrate a tradition that continues to shape the city’s food culture and maritime economy.

The ceremony honours the fishing community that supplies the Market and welcomes the new season’s local catch, from the fishermen to our traders to your table.
