Terms & Conditions
1. Customers who spend:
a. AED 50 or more (excluding taxes and fees) in a single day at the Waterfront Market during the Promotion Period are eligible to receive a “Prize” of one (1) complimentary Barakat Mango Ice Pop, while stocks last (see section 3 below);
b. AED 500 or more (excluding taxes and fees) in a single day at the Waterfront Market during the Promotion Period are eligible to receive a “Prize” of up to four (4) complimentary Barakat Mango Ice Pops, while stocks last; and
c. AED 5,000 or more (excluding taxes and fees) in a single day at the Waterfront Market during the Promotion Period are eligible to receive a “Prize” of up to six (6) complimentary Barakat Mango Ice Pops, while stocks last, (each an “Eligible Purchase”), (the “Promotion”).
This Promotion is organized and run by Waterfront Market LLC (“we”; “us”; “our”). Customers are only eligible to make one Prize claim per day based on their Eligible Purchase. Customers cannot make multiple Prize claims in a single day.
2. Customers who make an Eligible Purchase during the Promotion Period will also have the chance to enter the “Guess and Win” how many mangoes are on display competition with one (1) grand prize of AED 20,000 of fresh produce vouchers from Waterfront Market on offer (“Grand Prize”). The winner of the Grand Prize will be selected at the end of the Promotion Period. The Grand Prize is part of the Promotion.

How to Enter the Grand Prize:
1. Make the Eligible Purchase.
2. Make your guess: how many mangoes are on display?
3. Fill in your details (name and contact information), along with your guess, to submit your Grand Prize entry on the digital Promotion platform that you access through a QR code (“Promotion Platform”). You will find the QR code at the information desk at the Waterfront Market.
4. Customers can make multiple Grand Prize entries over the Promotion Period subject to the restriction that they can only make one Grand Prize entry per day during the Promotion Period, regardless of the number of Eligible Purchases made on that day.
How to Win the Grand Prize:
- The customers with the closest guess to the correct number of mangoes on display will progress into a draw to win the Grand Prize.
- One (1) Grand Prize winner will be drawn from the customers who progress into the draw for the Grand Prize and the Grand Prize winner will receive AED 20,000 worth of fresh produce vouchers from Waterfront Market (“Voucher”).
- The Grand Prize winner will be announced at the end of the Promotion Period.
- The Grand Prize winner will be required to provide us with a copy of their Emirates ID or passport for identification / documentation purposes.
- Please note that the name and photograph of the Grand Prize winner will be released.
- The Voucher received by the Grand Prize winner has an expiration date of 31 December 2026 and must be used before the expiration date.
- Customers must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the Promotion Period to enter the Grand Prize.
3. The Promotion will run every day during the Promotion Period, from 10:00 until 22:00 GST or until a total of 500 Prizes have been distributed during that day, whichever is earlier. If a total of 500 Prizes have been distributed in any day of the Promotion Period, the Promotion will come to a close for that day and no further Prizes will be distributed on that day.
4. Eligibility: The Promotion is open to customers who make an Eligible Purchase during the Promotion Period at any of the following Waterfront Market pavilions:
a. Meat & poultry
b. Seafood and live fish counter
c. East Bazaar
d. Main Bazaar
e. Fresh fruits & vegetables
f. Dry goods and spices
g. West Bazaar
h. Lulu Hypermarket
i. Market Village
j. Food and beverage outlets (e.g. cafes and restaurants)
5. The following Waterfront Market outlets are excluded from the Promotion:
a. Money exchanges (e.g. Al Ansari Exchange)
b. Utility payment services (e.g. du or Etisalat)
c. Driving license services kiosks (e.g. Galadari driving school)
6. Employees of Ithra Dubai LLC, Deira Waterfront Development LLC, Deira Waterfront Development Holdings LLC, Waterfront Market LLC (and all of these companies' subsidiaries, affiliates, companies under their management and other related companies) and employees of traders operating within Waterfront Market are not eligible to enter the Promotion, even if they make an Eligible Purchase.
7. Multiple purchases from different traders within the Waterfront Market, as listed in article 4 above, made on the same day may be aggregated to reach the Eligible Purchase total.
8. Prize redemption mechanism:
a. To be eligible to receive a Prize, customers must present original receipt(s) evidencing their Eligible Purchase and register their details on the Promotion Platform.
b. Customers can collect their Prize at the kiosk located near to the information desk in Waterfront Market on the day of the Eligible Purchase. It is not possible to collect a Prize on a different day to the date of the Eligible Purchase.
9. This Promotion cannot be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion unless otherwise stated by us. We reserve the right to amend or cancel the Promotion or these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice, at our sole discretion.
10. Customers will not be entitled to, and we will not offer, a cash alternative to the Prizes or Grand Prize or any alternative prize.
11. All decisions made by us regarding the Promotion (including decisions relating to the Grand Prize), including but not limited to eligibility, redemption, and cancellation, are final and binding.
12. Insofar as is permitted by applicable law, Ithra Dubai LLC, Deira Waterfront Development LLC, Deira Waterfront Development Holdings LLC, Waterfront Market LLC (and all of the preceding companies' subsidiaries, affiliates, companies under their management and other related companies) will not in any circumstances accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of running the Promotion and/or issuing the Prizes and the Grand Prize. In the circumstances where such exclusion of liability is held to be void or unenforceable, the total aggregate liability of Ithra Dubai LLC, Deira Waterfront Development LLC, Deira Waterfront Development Holdings LLC, Waterfront Market LLC (and all of the preceding companies' subsidiaries, affiliates, companies under their management and other related companies) shall not exceed AED 100 (one hundred UAE dirhams).
13. Subject to article 12 above, the Prizes are frozen food items and, as a result, customers who receive a Prize should ensure that they consume the Prize without delay to avoid the loss or spoilage of the Prize. It is recommended that customers consume their Prizes immediately on receiving the Prize. Customers will be fully and solely responsible for any loss or spoilage of their Prize as a result of any delay in consuming the Prize. Customers with allergies, dietary restrictions or other food intolerances are fully and solely responsible for checking the Prize’s ingredients before consuming the Prize to ensure that they can safely consume the Prize.
14. By ticking the “I agree” box on the Promotion Portal, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (which include the processing of customer personal data in accordance with the privacy policy below). Waterfront Market LLC reserves all rights in interpreting and enforcing these terms and conditions, as necessary.

16. Except as otherwise set out herein, all rights in relation to the Promotion, the Prizes, the Grand Prize and the Waterfront Market are held exclusively by the Waterfront Market LLC and/or its licensors, as applicable.
17. The Promotion, and these terms and conditions, are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the UAE and the courts of Dubai shall be the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute relating to the Promotion or these terms and conditions.
What personal data will we process
We will process the following customer personal data as part of the Promotion:
- name
- email address
- mobile phone number
- country and city of residence
- address
- number of mangoes guessed (as part of the Grand Prize)
- image and voice (through photographs or video recordings) (including the photograph of the Grand Prize Winner).
By consenting to our use of their personal data, a customer confirms that the personal data they provide to us is complete, up to date and accurate. If it is not, we may not be able to contact the customer in relation to the Promotion.
Our purposes for processing customer personal data
Customer personal data will be processed in relation to the Promotion. This will involve the processing of customer personal data in the following ways:
- registering the customer’s contact details as part of the Promotion.
- updating the customer on the Promotion.
- notifying customer of similar promotions in the future or other Waterfront Market events.
- promoting the Promotion and the Waterfront Market generally on our public social media platforms and through other digital marketing campaigns.
How we collect customer personal data
We will collect customer personal data directly from the customer. Most of the personal data we collect will be provided by the customer as part of the Promotion registration process. We will not be collecting personal data relating to customers from any thirdparty sources.
How long do we retain customer personal data
We will retain customer personal data for the Promotion Period and then for a period of up to 2 years after the Promotion to notify customers of similar future promotions or other Waterfront Market events.
Who will access customer personal data
Customer personal data will be shared with our subsidiaries, affiliates, companies under our management and other related companies. We may share customer personal data on our public social media platforms and with other third parties in the future (e.g. as part of digital marketing campaigns or when we organize similar promotions so that customers can be contacted about these promotions). We may also provide customer personal data to third-party media organizations and/or government authorities, if required.
Where do we process customer personal data
Customer personal data will be processed in the United Arab Emirates. We will not transfer customer personal data outside of the United Arab Emirates.
Exercising rights in relation to customer personal data
Customers have certain rights, depending on the applicable data protection law, in relation to the processing of their personal data. These rights may include: the right to receive information about how we process their personal data (including the purposes for processing, who we share their personal data with and the protections we put in place to ensure their personal data stays secure when sharing their personal data); to correct any inaccuracies in their personal data; to stop or restrict their personal data being processed in certain circumstances; and to have their personal data deleted or transferred.
Consent for marketing purposes
By ticking the “I consent” box on the Promotion Platform, a customer consents to the processing of their personal data for marketing purposes (as detailed above). Consent can be withdrawn at any time and customers may exercise their right to withdraw their consent by contacting us at: info@waterfrontmarket.ae. Please include in the subject line of the withdrawal email: “Consent Withdrawal”. If a customer withdraws their consent to our processing their personal data before the end of the Promotion, we may be unable to contact the customer relating to the Promotion. The withdrawal by a customer of their consent will not affect any processing of their personal data that took place prior to the withdrawal.
